RSS Feeds
RSS stands for “Really Simple Syndication” — it’s a format for distributing and gathering content from sources across the Web, including newspapers, magazines, and blogs.
The RSS reader scans and notifies you about updates on the web sites you have added to your RSS reader. Since you don’t have to visit every single web site that you usually read to check if they have an update, RSS simply makes it easier to keep track of updates and news on web sites.
To read an RSS feed, you’ll need an RSS reader. There are many stand-alone software programs used to collect, update, and display RSS feeds. Some work from within your web browser or email client, while other work on your desktop. The buttons provided at Bodog Nation all link to free, web based RSS readers and include:
- RSS: Just a plain feed you can add to any RSS reader
- MyYahoo: One of the most popular readers around
- Bloglines
- MyMSN
- NewsGator
- GoogleReader
All you have to do is to sign up for an account and you can add as many feeds as you want. Just copy and paste the feed link above into your feed reader and you’re up and running.
If you prefer, you can download a RSS reader and install it on your computer, and below you’ll find links to a few of these:
